Master Bathroom in Rigby
This is a large master bathroom remodel that we did in Rigby. It features a stand alone tub, large shower with rain head showerhead, heated floors, and a double vanity.
Framing and Shower Pan
We framed out the shower, added insulation, and packed our shower pan. We used lathe reinforcements in the mud for extra strength due to the large size.
Behind the Tile
Every good tile job is recognizable before any tile gets put on the wall. Flofx is a made in USA waterproofing membrane we like to use to waterproof our walls, shower pan, and waterproof all of our seams. We take extra care to ensure that the corners of the shower curb and around the drain are waterproof as well because this is where we find most leaks.
Tile and Niche
Tile, grout, and sealer are installed. We always take extra care to place our shampoo niche on a good layout so that it flows seamlessly with the shower tile.
Underlayment and Heated Floors
Ditra-Heat underlayment was installed with heat cable for heated floors throughout the master bathroom. We had a separate, dedicated, electrical circuit run for the heat cable. Although this can cost a fair amount, it is a well worth it upgrade for the cold winter months.
Tile Floor Install
With extra attention to detail, we installed the floor tile over the heat cable. After the floor was installed we brought in the double vanity and installed the door, trim, toilet, and stand alone tub.
